Ah, I stand corrected about Fiadh being included. Poor little boy, what a sad, sad time of your life to learn that you’re not wanted.

My mind’s flashing back to page 14, i thought this was a happy memory of Fiadh’s mother, too! Damn how wrong I was, it’s only a memory of how a mother would not want him around.

The butterflies in this scene are so beautifully drawn…and against the sad dusj sky he’s left in. This really must be a vivid memory for him, as an example of how he feels now, and so many times before.

I really can’t get over the gorgeous butterfly wings as you drew them. The broken top panels work well to show the fractured, painful effect it has on Fiadh’s mind when he replays it. The bottom panel with the sky opening up wide makes Fiadh look so small as the others retreat into gray vague shapes and he’s left there by himself.

Like a vivid and detailed place where he’s all alone with noone but him to share it. And the butterflies show how in-detail he felt this moment and his lonesomeness, like he’s one of the butterflies left wandering aimlessly also, while the others fade away and the silent bugs are the last people he’s left with

What a heartbreaking scene, i’m torn to bits
