And that concludes the chapter! Took 2 months to make… I believe they usually take me 3-4 months so there is definitely an upgrade in terms of time. Now I will take a nice and relaxed break before starting the next one, which comes with a lot more introductions as per usual – this time, mostly of the baddies.

Thank you for reading!

This chapter really blazed by so smoothly! It was amazing fun to read, a great intro for Arc 2. A lot of intense emotions, story revelations, and a very cool new setting!
Haha, I feel for Nitani’s travelling pains (: she’s already so beaten up from the Supradian Conflict and the fall, and as soon as she manages to get there even more bad luck
But if it isn’t hype to think all the Four Riders are finally being introduced! I checked, and Dragon can definitely be seen there on the Chapter 1 splashpage, it just entirely passed me by this whole chapter until now that he was one of them! I assumed he was maybe an adjacent antagonist like the Pontiff, but Fiadh really did not know who he’d fortunately met. It’s very cool they’re hinting at this story again that Asha knew them closely when she was young, and that’s how they remember her as! A twist on the sad backstory I initially expected in Nutaryu. Even more interesting to think they didn’t know Asha had become a rebel mercenary until now, or at least hadn’t gotten wind of it and knew she’s come back blazing a trail towards them.
Maybe that’s part of the title meaning too, “Birds of a Feather”, is about Asha and Fiadh sticking together with eachother for lack of other companions, and also here that the Riders will inevitably come together again, and even Asha is on her way back to reunite with them too, since they apparently knew her before and so will be met with her again. We’ll see!
There’s so many interesting plotlines starting to spin together in this, on Asha’s side with how the Riders know her, and on Fiadh’s side of the story. I’m very interested by the occult sounding letter Fiadh found by his mother. Obviously he was more distressed by the wilful abandonment part of it and may not care for the strange implication yet!
This 3rd Rider looks suspiciously familiar too…I’ll keep it to myself until I can confirm who I think that is! But I think I recognise him

Enjoy your nice and relaxed break! This chapter was definitely one of my favourites I think, although it separated Fiadh and Asha for a stretch, it was interesting throughout, had beautiful art, and some nice character moments. I’m excited for the next chapter too, though for the moment I’m very satisfied with this introductory chapter to Arc 2!
Processionary in Black has lived up to the hype!

Pretty spot on on the chapter title! It refers to several things again – the rebels, Asha and Fiadh, Fiadh and Dragon, and the Four Riders. Basically how due to circumstances or wants they end up flocking together. Birds motif also abound in the story. I guess in a sense this is a chapter about fate.
