And back to their “home” they go.
I wanted the chapter to be moody and sour, but not hopeless.
Follow the adventures of Fiadh and Asha across the wastelands of Arshamudd as they embark on a revenge quest amidst the Empire tumultuous uprising.
And back to their “home” they go.
I wanted the chapter to be moody and sour, but not hopeless.

Oh that’s nice, that’s perfect (:
I was a little worried it’d be too saccharine after everything that’d happened, because a lot of talking definitely couldn’t unpiece everything at the moment or take away the gloom it made, but this is a good note to end on. It fits them both to only say what they need to, here. And it lets the gloom linger, because it’s still gonna stick with me personally.
IMO there’s nothing more that can be said about it, that is all Fiadh needed to hear at this moment. They both had a disastrous upset to what they wanted, with Scott’s death and now Fiadh ditching her too weighing on Asha, and Fiadh’s entire soulsearch in Sarkesa being for naught and a hopeless failure. As a result Fiadh wants to go back with Asha and Asha wants Fiadh back with her, so they have this “home” for now, even if their end goals are nowhere in sight it’s what part they still have to cling to. Just having Asha shelter him in is enough to live with.
That’s how they can get their composure back and leave this sunless spot behind them. It’s still there, but both of them can see they’d rather stay together through it
