I feel I was right to see the contrast!
If Fiadh could see now she came looking for him so invested, i’m sure he’d be very happy to know it. Though right now he has his mind set on other things.

The white backdrop with the pages fluttering about behind it is very cool! It works well with the sharp broken panels of the two frantically searching for what they need. Fiadh climbing and scouring through every book. Asha searching everywhere and threatening/interrogating to find where Fiadh went to. Gives you a feeling for the elongated passage of time as it pours away while they’re searching. Like every different page as you read down represents a minute or an hour gone by they’ve spent looking.
At the end their looks of anguish/growing unease hits really well! I’ve yet to see Page 27 yet, but I can tell by just their looks they’ve gotten nowhere, Asha getting frustrated by this brute force not working, and Fiadh can feel the quiet dread slowly sinking in because it becomes less and less likely he’ll find an answer as time goes by and the possible books dwindle and dwindle. It’s a really powerful page/moment for their shared emotions in this! No words necessary. You can feel their panic and strong emotion and important need to find who they’re looking for.

In terms of art, that bottom layout is so Gorgeous! As well as the different shades of the night sky and the light from outer space, I enjoy the faint smear of almost a camera lens or a bubble in the upper left. That’s probably the forcefield from the vail tower, it becomes a really cool effect at night when so transparent like this! Sarkesa as well has a very dreamlike design with the many floating rail highways curving around all the buildings
I also like the bulky arms/shoulders you drew Asha with! She looks fittingly beefy for a warrior woman who can throw a flail through somebody’s skull.
